I have been to Bonefish several times and I have encountered the same problem over and over again. I have always had dishes that were not properly cleaned sat on top of a poorly cleaned table. Also my server has always been nonexistence. I had to track Angelica down several times for things I had asked for numerous times, (Water, condiments, napkins, juice). The only thing that came out in a timely manner was my Watermelon Martini. The service is alway lackluster and no one is energetic or does anything to make you feel welcome. Also a tip, please don't argue with me about splashing grenadine in lemonade to make it pink, yes your bar will do it. Kids like pink lemonade and a splash of grenadine does not contain alcohol. All in all I will not be coming back to this location again.

Good food at a decent price. Ceviche was delicious. Food and service are consistently above average. Bar area is always lively and bar staff are friendly and accommodating when transferring from bar to table. Hostess always opens door. Bathrooms clean and well stocked. Parking is adequate. This is one of the best chain restaurants for food and service.

Met two other couples for lunch and we talked for hours. This is a very nice place to meet up with friends or family. They didn't even rush us out. I really enjoy the food and service.

Had dinner here on Sunday, 3/8/15. This was the first time to Bonefish for three of four of us. We all found the food to be very good. We would rate it better than we expected and were very pleased. While our waiter, Jimmie P, started off pretty good, and looked to be promising, as the meal progressed his performance deteriorated, which took away from the experience. We came close to not leaving him a tip it got that bad. So, overall, food was really good and we will be back. Service - not good. Waiter was poor at handling the needs of one of our guests who had a food allergy. There are restaurants and servers who handle this really well so it can be done. This experience was poor, and when it is poor, it has been known to cause the whole meal to spiral downward. So, word of advice to restaurants, lets get this sorted, and in the case of this particular server, some training is in order. The waiter completely fell apart towards the end of the meal, with the lack of timely processing of the check, and getting a to-go box. We had to finally get up from the table and track down a different server to get a to-go box. Really poor experience.

Very good. Service is great, well informed servers, quick, friendly, and good food. Kobe burger is delicious. They also offer a tasty and delightful gluten free menu.

Bonefish is about the best chain seafood place you can find I've been a couple of times the latest was with friends for our end of the semester (it's all over but the grading) get together. The service was great the staff kept the drinks and food coming. So far I've had their Japanese Style Ahi Tuna which was delicious. And their American Kobe Burger which was also delicious. They were willing to cook it medium rare and it actually came out medium rare. (Yes I ordered a hamburger in a seafood place . . don't judge me :) ) . As far as appetizers go do NOT miss the bang bang shrimp . . . really REALLY good. If you're into sashimi, the sashimi appetizer is really good too. It's attached to the Tyrone Mall you can decide for yourself if that's a good or bad thing. The prices are a little on the high side but the atmosphere is very nice suitable for a quiet date or a work get together.

I used to come here at least once a week maybe more. This place was and still is excellent. Their seafood is very fresh and flavorful especially since they changed the menu recently. I thought I should finally do a review on this particular Bonefish on Tyrone since that is my regular location. I ordered the Crab Crusted Orange Roughy off the specials menu and my guest had the lobster Flat Bread from the specials menu as well. We first started with the Saucy Shrimp appetizer since this an extremely flavorful and it's awesome to dip the bread into. Side Note: not sure why but they don't have that on the menu anymore but anyone can still oder it. Once I got the roughy I took one bight and I new I was going to love it. My guest got her flatbread but noticed there was hardly any lobster on it at all. Once our waitress came back to see how it was going she pointed it out and the server immediately said here I'll fix it for you. Not long after the chef I presume came to our table within a new flatbread that had a much more generous portion of lobster on it and said don't worry about that for the bill since you didn't get to enjoy your meal with the rest of your guests. A++ on the service here. I have never had a problem with that. They always bend over backwards to either fix things and or make them right. Can't wait to return to get some of my favorites.

We like to go there for good food and drinks. Well you can forget the part of good drinks. The bartender Bob makes terrible drinks, and when we requested a different bartender, it was a big ordeal. I don't recommend this place for drinks.

Had a really bad experience- which is unusual. This location use to be super consistent with service and food quality. Had a waiter who was totally lost and a bit strange on Mother's Day. We arrived at 3 PM- to miss the crowd and the restaurant was half empty. Three tables arrived after our party of 4 and were eating before we had apps. We had to ask where our app was... my salad... for more water.... and after 1 hour we called the waiter over and he said 'What do need?" We said- how about our food? A lobster roll, a tuna app, and scallops.. We don't think he ever keyed our order in and asked a different waitress to help us multiple times. The lobster roll was good... the tuna so bad my daughter took it home and then threw it out; after the waiter said he'd get the manager- he did ... 15 min. later. Manager listened, comped the entire meal and said get dessert on us... 15 more minutes waiter finally came back to take dessert order- I had almost got up looking for the manager... better to just remove him from the floor- I will still go back- but wouldn't let that waiter near me ever. Kind of ruined Mother's Day.

I've never been to a Bonefish grill before. I know they are a chain, but we don't have any in Northern California. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. Service was friendly and attentive. They offered happy hour until 6:30 in the dining room - that was a surprise. Food wise, everything was a hit. You can order grilled fish or seafood that comes with a sauce and two sides - one being the seasonal vegetable and the other your choice. Added a side Caesar salad which was good, a little over dressed to my liking, but still good. I ordered shrimp and scallops with mango salsa and a side of green beans. The seasonal side that came with it was spaghetti squash and it was so good! The salsa on the seafood was really great too. Green beans were my least favorite part of the dish - too much butter for me. They also bring bread (ciabatta) to your table with olive oil-pesto to dip in. Very good meal overall.

Staff have always been extra friendly, food is well above average, and the atmosphere is great. Occasional wait times but they have somebody coming around if your sitting outside taking drink orders and someone bringing around bang bang shrimp samples to try. Which is awesome and I wish more restaurants would do.

Gotta tell ya ... I have been to three different locations and it tastes exactly the same the Cesar salad is my favorite in Florida. Unfortunately for all the other restaurants we attend no I compare to bonefish. It may take you awhile to sit if you don't use your app on your phone or log on and create a reservation .. once you are seated it is quick! I seem to always end up with Chicken Marsala cant help it, its my fav. My honey always gets the talapia with herb pesto .. why fix it if its not broken???

For a chain seafood restaurant, Bonefish is one of the best. The service here is excellent. Food has always been great. I love the Bang Bang shrimp. They make good martinis also.

Went last night for dinner for something easy since downtown was packed. Always good food and service. We had an appetizer which was amazing it was called cold snap ceviche very tasty. For dinner I had the ribeye special and for not being a major steak house it was amazing perfect medium rare more rare and the mushroom stuffed ravioli omg. I love steak but sometimes I feel places known for their steak and meat slack off sometimes because they sell so much of it. That's why I prefer to have it at a place like this because 9/10 it's perfect. The wife had a seared rare Ahi Tuna which was amazing as we'll with a Mango sauce on the side. The night was nice overall it's not just food and service it's the greeter at the door he nailed it the hostess she nailed it. The girl who seated us then your server and anyone else who helps out all polite and that makes for a great evening. By the way our servers name was Kayleen very good ask for her very knowledgeable.

I just LOVE Bonefish. I don't like reviewing chains, but I've made an exception. I've been to about 4-5 Bonefish in FL and GA and this location is my favorite. Both the food and service here are excellent. I've had nearly everything on the menu so it's hard to review each dish, but I'll list a few of my favorites. For appetizers it's in this order: Ahi tuna sashimi, bang bang shrimp, and mussels. If you are a mussels fan then you DEFINITELY have to order them here! They're garlic-y and delicious. For entrees: Everything on the specials board is always fantastic, but as for the regular menu: Lily's chicken if you're not in the mood for seafood, the salmon with mango salsa--yum! and the imperial long fin. Every dessert is amazing, but I'm partial to brownies so I'd go with the brownie with macadamia nut and ice cream. That's just me being a chocolate fiend though. Overall, I think this restaurant is fairly priced, a fun yet relaxing atmosphere with food that never disappoints.

OMG!!! This place is amazing. Our server, Amy, was the BEST! She made sure to explain everything we asked about. There is no question she loves her job, which only makes you even happier that you decided to eat here. The drinks were just as she described them to us. The food...wow there are no words you just have to taste it for yourself.

Our experience started down hill when the manager started as our server after a short wait....she was a poor server in her lack of friendliness or help...we did get a real server after we ordered that was great. Our food was horrible. I ordered the $25 ribeye expecting a quality steak....the meat was horrible and the steak was raw (ordered as medium)...I had to send it back...for that kind of steak, i'm expecting a new steak cooked right...NOPE, just like a low end diner where they brought me the same meat...just cooked well done...very close to leather now....My son had the kids cheeseburger...he loves cheeseburgers...he took one bite and exclaimed a giant "yuck!"...the meat had a bad taste...so, we sent it back. Never saw the manager again even with the many problems.... Will not go back. Will not recommend. Will tell others NOT to go there.

Came at an odd time, so service and speed were good. Bang Bang Shrimp always good. Only real complaint: an appetizer is just that - it comes before the meal, NOT with the meal!! I hate having to choose which should get cold, the app or the entree. Seriously! This is basic 101 serving!

Just wondering why this chain restaurant always serves their dishes at a warm temperature. NEVER HOT!!! By the time one gets halfway through the meal it is cold, unless of course you eat like a pig and scarf it down. And why does my meal arrive at my table, before I nearly started my salad. What is the rush? I have left your restaurants to many times with heartburn trying to keep up with your rushed pace of service, in order to eat the main course (at least warm). Also do you think you could bring bread with a requested salad, instead of asking would you like bread with the meal after the meal comes. Every visit to this restaurant no matter which location has been a disaster in service. I dine alone, and I believe that may have something to do with it. (The wait staff feel, oh little tip). Which in my case is the opposite if I ever get the service deserved. I work hard for my money, and to spend over 20 bucks one meal, I feel the wait staff should give a little attention to those who pay them. We the customer. My god, do you not have a training program for wait staff, cooks and I must unfortunately mention, Managers. To let the above pass inspection is beyond me. By the way, I visit your restaurant early in the afternoons ( 4:00pm) while it is not busy as not to take up space for 2 or more people in the party. I give you a little respect, might I have a little of yours as a restaurant...JEZZZZ...

Had a 50 dollar gift certificate,so went to the Tyrone location.A quick explanation for the three stars:the service was great, but the food was just adequate, for the money. We spent over 70 bucks,so we ended up paying around 25 cash.I got the most expensive dish in our party;the grouper, which was good, but small. Also ordered was the calamari appetizer, again small portion, and some of the rings were thick and kind of rubbery. The other two items ordered were the kobe burger, which was good,(as it should be for 11 bucks),and the fish and chips, which were the most plentiful of all our orders. The waitress was considerate, bringing out all the various sauces for us to try, which were all very tasty. To sum it up,great attentive service and decent food that should either be cheaper,or bigger portions.BTW,I drank tea and my companions drank water,(which is what they prefer.)We don't drink, but if alcohol were ordered,I could see the bill going north of 100 easily for a party of three. I would have been very unhappy if we did not have the 50 dollar gift card, and to be honest,I will probably not return.

Had dinner there tonight for our anniversary. It's only my second visit to Bonefish, but I plan to return many times. This time was just as good as my first. Our server, Andy S. was great and very informative about the menu. We asked for a recommendation on an appetizer and mentioned that we liked both the saucy shrimp (not on menu, but they'll make it for you), and the bang bang shrimp, but wanted to try something else. He recommended the Thai coconut shrimp so we went with that. Wow! I could eat the sweet/spicy Thai chili sauce with a spoon! Be sure to ask for extra sauce for dipping. My husband had Lily's Chicken topped with goat cheese, spinach, and artichoke hearts. It's his favorite. I chose their seasonal spinach strawberry salad as one of my sides and it did not disappoint. Almost as good as the beet/goat cheese salad, but it's not being offered this time of year. The strawberry salad comes with mascarpone cheese fritters, which are little balls of mascarpone cheese inside a crispy breaded shell. They added such a nice touch to the salad, and were a very nice change to ordinary croutons. This is part of what I like so much about Bonefish...all of the delicious food items that you won't find on the ordinary dinner menu at most restaurants. I had the Fontina Chop which is a grilled boneless pork chop, topped with fontina cheese, whole roasted garlic cloves, crispy prosciutto, and mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce. Flavor was excellent, but I have to say the pork chop itself was a little tough, possibly from overcooking. But I would definitely order it again. We finished our meal by sharing the cheesecake. I prefer plain cheesecake, so Andy said he would request the toppings on the side for us. There were 3 little dishes: 1 with toasted chopped pecans, one with freshly whipped cream, and one with diced apples in a rum sauce. I have to say I still prefer plain cheesecake, but the toppings were delicious as well. Overall a very nice dinner and excellent service!

I had a gift card to this place and used it while on vacation. First off, I wasn't exactly sure where the restaurant was, so I called and asked if they were in the mall. the response..."No we're next to the mall". Ok after finding the place I guess it technically was not in the mall. But in my eyes, if you park in the mall parking lot and go to a restaurant that shares walls with the mall, I say you're at the mall. Anyway, they couldn't have been nicer to us when we finally got there. Because it was our first time there, the manager came over and welcomed us. We started with the calamari appetizer and it was really tasty. I had the shrimp and sirloin main course, which was an ok mix of steak and seafood. It was cooked in a type of butter sauce though that was too rich for my tastes. Later in the evening, I got caught up on my reading. Not sure if I'll return, just because there are lots of other places I like to go when I'm in Florida. Maybe another gift card would bring me back.

Even though it's a chain restaurant, that does not mean that all Bonefish Grill restaurants are the same! We LOVE the Tyrone mall location of Bonefish Grill. We have been to other ones and had much better experiences at the Tyrone location. I see that someone tagged this place as formal with Jacket required. That's not true. It is quite casual, but if one were to wish to wear a jacket there, they could. We love the happier hours in the bar area where you get to have some of their appetizers at a lower price than usual. The Bang Bang shrimp tacos and the ceviche are our favorites. If you like pork chops, you must try their Fontina chop. It is delicious. The marsala sauce has lots of garlic and mushrooms. Quite tasty ! They are not just a seafood restaurant. Sunday brunch is good and they have the option for bottomless mimosas. Bring a designated driver !!! The Shrimp and corn cakes were awesome. The shrimp were the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The seasonings were PERFECT. I could eat them ALL DAY !! Enjoy !

The food at this chain is consistently good. They have a full bar and lots of Big Screen TVs to watch different sports. We usually eat at the bar. Great Cob Salad and Fresh grilled fish. The bread is great here too. The staff at the bar at this location is entertaining and very friendly.

I'm a dingdong sometimes. I remember vividly my first visit to the Tampa location of Bonefish. Many years ago it was. It was classy and fresh and full lots of hip, cool locals. It was simply a new fish in the tank and that alone made it popular. This particular location, at Tyrone Mall, has been around for a few years now and for some unexplainable reason, I've just never gone. Until last week when, out of the blue, I said to myself "why not Bonefish?" Why not, in deed! The bar was almost FULL at 4:30 on a Thursday afternoon, a GOOD sign I say! And although it isn't a big bar, it's big enough. I was greeted with a cheery "welcome" by the bartender and it just got better from there! I ordered a couple of different wines over the course of the evening and got lots of in depth info on each. I was thrilled to learn so much about pinots. I decided to order an appetizer while I decided what to take home for dinner. I was leaning towards the sashimi and was told it was excellent. Well, it was good, but not excellent. It was a bit bland, the presentation a bit boring and the soy that was spilled all over the plate (by accident I must say) by the server made one heck of a mess. I was a little shocked she did not offer to take the plate back for a reup, but oh, well. I ate 2 pieces and called it off. I ultimately decided on the special of the week, the Wild Shrimp Pad Thai. An excellent choice! The noodles were firm, but not undercooked. The sauce was light and tangy and a little savory, too. Just right. The shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked. All in all, a culinary delight! In my opinion, they should make this a menu staple. The atmosphere was lively, but not loud. Everyone seemed well looked after, all tables were full by the time I left, and the hospitality was the best I've seen in a restaurant around these parts in a long time. Bravo, Bonefish! And to top it all off, the most lovely couple sat next to me! Isn't it a blast to have good company with your after work cocktails and food?! It just made the whole experience one I hope to have again soon at my next visit to Bonefish!

The bang bang shrimp is amazing- try it. My martini was watered down though... And the imperial whitefish with shrimp an capers was too buttery but overall really tasty. This place is probably 3-5 bucks per plate too expensive.

This Bonefish is always busy and it can be difficult to find parking since it's in the mall, but it is delicious. The food is always fresh and hot and the service is great. My favorite time at Bonefish is for Sunday brunch. The food is good and they have bottomless mimosas!

My fiancé and i's go to spot when we can't decide. The service has always been great when in a small group. The food is always awesome. The atmosphere is perfect for a nice night out. Intimate yet social. I will say we have had issues when in large groups with service. They just can't seem to get it right with service or food but always work to resolve the problem. We had Mother's Day brunch there with about 10 of us. Food was ok but service was painfully SLOW. We ordered dessert of the strawberry shortcake. It took 30 minutes to come out and that's when we found out it's no longer strawberry shortcake but berry shortcake - and 3 of the people in the group that ordered it are allergic to raspberry. The manager came over and actually comped out entire meal after speaking with her. We offered to pay but she declined it. Talk about trying to right a wrong. Bad experience like this (in my experience) never get corrected like this at other restaurants - and this is why we frequent Bonefish. They always make good.

There are lots of reasons why I give this restaurant 1 star, and I will go through all of them. First off, the waiter was weird overall. Didn't ask us important questions, like how do we like our meat. Medium rare? Rare? Nope, didn't ask. When asked what drinks we wanted, one of my friends said sprite about 5 times to which I did not respond. He later came with water and told her she got sprite and he'll be right out with it. It's a fountain drink, you could've just come with the drink and not tease us. Well the drink she got shortly after was bubbled water, as if he was spiting us. After we told him this he finally got her sprite. The food was expensive, which is ok, but not when the quality of the food is comparable to iHop. I paid $13 for a burger that my local burger joint can make better for half the price. My friend order couscous which she said tasted like instant couscous, and ate one bite and had enough. Specifically it was the teriyaki chicken couscous. The other two friends has a nice meal, but my stars is my experience not theirs, and therefor I give this place a 1 single star. Absolutely disappointing. At least they acted like it was a higher class restaurant. I can go to a better restaurant, spend less money, have better food, and better service.

This is one of our favorite places to go for happy hour. The appetizers are good, and are a very good portion. The happy hour wine prices are good and the selection of wines available is good as well. The house Merlot is worth ordering. The bang bang chicken is one of our favorites. I am not sure that they call it that any more, but if you order it they know what you're requesting.

  • Dmitry D.

THIS place is always good but it's something about it that makes me not want to give it five stars. Maybe it's the flavorless and cheap quality fries calamari. Our the fact that we got our bread after we got our salads and apps. Our maybe the fact that both alcoholic drinks had to much alcohol not complaining but no flavor of the drink that we ordered it to be. And my martini glass smelled real bad like it was rubbed with dirty salt or it was waged in dirty water. BUT the the atmosphere was food father in law liked it. My did wad good the stuffed tilapia and bang bang shrimp are always good. I don't think I will go here again doesn't matter which area.
